FAM gets RM4 million from Johor sultan

KUALA LUMPUR, 3 Aug 2017:

The Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar yesterday contributed RM4 million to the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM).

FAM secretary-general Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin said in a statement the contribution was part of the conferring of bonuses to the national under-22 squad for qualifying for  the final round of the 2018 Asian Football Confederation U-23 Championship in China.

“The  contribution can also help FAM in the overall development of national football.”

The national U-22 squad under Datuk Ong Kim Swee performed excellently during the qualifying rounds in Bangkok, Thailand in July, emerging champions in Group H with six points.
