Malaysia Covid19 daily new case reports during the latest 24 hours under review rose to 325 persons recording positive tests – with two imported cases – to raise the nation’s tally to 5,036,918 infections.

Selangor (87) reported the most new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (82), Melaka (52), Sarawak (28), Penang (14), Johor (12) and Negeri Sembilan (10). Single digits were recorded in Perak (9), Putrajaya (8), Kedah (7), Pahang (6), Sabah (4), Kelantan (3) and Perlis (3), while Labuan and Terengganu reported none.
The 113 discharges were outpaced by new cases as total recoveries rose to 4,990,079 (99%) while active cases rose 212 to 9,897 – with 9,507 (96.1%) in home quarantine, 376 (3.8%) hospitalised and none at Low-Risk Covid19 Quarantine and Treatment Centres (PKRC).
Numbers at intensive care units dipped to 14 Covid19 patients, with nine needing breathing aids.
