No one noticed dead woman on condo 1st floor roof

SHAH ALAM, 22 June 2017:

A 28-year-old female student of a private university was found dead on the first floor of a condominium here – believed to have fallen from the 10th floor of the building.

Shah Alam police chief ACP Shafien Mamat said the body of the victim, fully dressed, was found by her younger brother – who went to the victim’s house after failing to contact his sister for two days.

“Upon arriving at his sister’s rented house at Vista Alam Condominium, Section 14 here, the victim’s brother found his sister’s house was unlocked and he checked the house, then he went to the balcony before he found the victim lying on the first floor of the building.

“Her brother then contacted the police. The police are conducting further investigations regarding the victim’s death. The victim’s body was sent to Shah Alam Hospital for autopsy.”

It is believed the victim had died two days earlier.

Kota Anggerik Fire and Rescue head Ahmad Nazmi Halil, when contacted, said the department received a call regarding the incident at 12.12pm yesterday and the victim’s body was taken down using a stretcher and rope, before being handed over to the police for further action.

Meanwhile in KOTA TINGGI, the lifeless body of an Indonesian plantation worker – believed to have been trampled to death by a wild elephant – was found in Ladang Tunjuk Laut, Tanjung Sedili yesterday.

The victim, known as Sofian Adi, 33, is believed to have been missing since Tuesday.

Kota Tinggi Fire and Rescue Station operations commander Rahman Hashim said they received information of a man missing at 8.57am and went to the scene along with six members and two four-wheel drive vehicles.

“The victim’s body  was found at around 12.50pm by a plantation worker who was conducting a search operation. The worker found the victim’s shoe first before finding the body about 100m from the shoe.

“We were told another friend of the victim suffered injuries during the attack and is receiving treatment,” said Rahman.

Kota Tinggi district police chief Supt Ahsmon Bajah confirmed the body was that of the Indonesian plantation worker.
