Online convenience for MyRapid travel concession card

KUALA LUMPUR, 9 March 2018:

Qualified commuters can conveniently apply online for their MyRapid Touch ‘n Go Concession Cards instead of applying for the card at the Pasar Seni bus hub.

This saves their time to commute to and from the Pasar Seni bus hub through applying for the card using the online application which can be done through www.myrapid.com.my.

Qualified commuters consists of students, senior citizens (aged 60 and above) and those with certified People with Disabilities (OKU) cards issued by the Welfare Department.

In a statement, Prasarana Malaysia Bhd said the concession card provides a 50% discount for travels on Rapid KL networks including Monorail, LRT, MRT Sungai Buloh – Kajang Line and its bus services including the BRT and MRT feeder buses.

“Commuters preferring to do face-to-face application at the concession card centre, however, are still able to do so at our Pasar Seni bus hub.

“Customers, however, are strongly encouraged to apply online for their own convenience.”

In submitting their application, applicants will need to include a colour passport size digital photo taken against a blue background plus other relevant documents according to their group categories – primary school and secondary school students, college students (including foreign students), Malaysian senior citizens and OKU.

“Applicants will also need a valid and active email and active phone number as well as a valid credit/debit card or access to online banking portals for payment of the card’s fee, which has been set at a minimal rate of RM15,” said Prasarana.
