Jaya One’s Zhan Art | Space showcases 30 art pieces by special needs youths

PETALING JAYA, 19 Sept 2019:

A dedicated art space showcasing contemporary fine art is holding the ‘Kindness is Easy’ exhibition featuring 30 exceptional art pieces painted by 15 young adults with special needs.

Zhan Art | Space, Jaya One was appointed authorised art dealer by Generating Opportunities for Learning Disables (GOLD) to showcase these art pieces till Oct 6.

“Over the past 20 years, GOLD has strived to make an impact and enhance the lives of these young adults,” said founder Juairiah Johari.

She said these artworks are inspired by the ‘Kindness Cookies’ ideology which empower the young adults to live on independently and have a productive life.

Through proper guidance by art teachers, she said these young adults are able to pick up the correct brush skills and produce beautiful art pieces that reflect their inner joy and happiness.

“The ultimate goal of GOLD is to empower these young adults and inspire them to continuously break barriers and not be limited by their disabilities.”

“We believe that talent has no limits and art, similarly to beauty, is in fact in the eyes of the beholder,” said Zhan Art | Spaceco-founder Dr Tong Gin Chee.

Prices for the 30 art pieces range from RM500 to RM1,200.
