Robot butlers for room service at Malaysian hotels

KUALA LUMPUR, 10 Feb 2023:

Hotel guests in the Klang Valley and across Malaysia can soon enjoy zero-contact privacy-focused room delivery of meals with robots, allowing for better deployment of human staff.

This advance is made possible by a collaboration with Keenon Robotics Co, an industry leader servicing close to 50% of China’s robotic demands – across the hospitality, food & beverage, retail, and healthcare sectors.

This firm’s Butlerbot W3 is being distributed by of Diverse Supply Chain Sdn Bhd via a partnership signed with Malaysia Budget & Business Hotel Association (MYBHA), Malaysia Tourism Agency Association (MATA), and Asean Retail-Chains and Franchise Federation (ARFF).

Keenon Robotics regional sales director for Southeast Asia Enzo Wong said the Butlerbot W3 can be programmed to handle lifts on its own, together with its internal artificial intelligence guidance.

Diverse Supply Chain managing director Kayden Ong noted: “Automation in the workplace is now more important than ever as manpower is no longer as readily available as compared to before the Covid19 aftermath.”

Founded in 2010, Keenon robots have since been deployed in about 60 countries.
