FT affordable homes completed 23 months ahead of schedule

KUALA LUMPUR, 26 March 2018:

Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor yesterday praised the Residensi Puchongmas Federal Territories Affordable Homes (Rumawip) developer for completing the project 23 months ahead of schedule.

He said Aset Kayamas Sdn Bhd should be emulated by other developers to help realise the government’s aspiration of providing affordable housing.

“The developer will be completing two more Rumawip projects, Residensi Razakmas and Residensi Pandanmas 2, involving 2,347 units.

“What I can emphasise here is that all the projects were implemented without any allocation or subsidies from the government,” he said at the handing over of house keys at Residensi Puchongmas here.

He said the apartment block – which housed 524 units – was the first Rumawip project to be sold under a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.

The 900 sq ft, three-bedroom, two bathroom homes cost RM260,000 each – below market price – yet the developer had maintained the features and specifications necessary for comfortable and practical living, Tengku Adnan noted.

The 34-storey block is also equipped with facilities such as security guards, a swimming pool, gym, kindergarten, day care centre and playground.
