PETALING JAYA, 11 March 2023:
Batik Air Malaysia is offering over 10,000 extra seats on flights mounted for Hari Raya Puasa-related travel with fixed airfares for routes linking Kuching and Kota Kinabalu from KL International Airport plus Subang’s Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport linkage to Kota Baru, Terengganu, Langkawi, Penang and Johor Bharu.
In a statement, chief executive officer captain Mushafiz Mustafa Bakri said flights from KLIA to Kuching are fixed at an all-in fare of RM299, whereas RM359 is the all-in fixed-fare from KLIA to Kota Kinabalu.
Flights from Subang airport will start from RM199 to destinations in Peninsular Malaysia with an additional 4,000 seats being offered.
The fixed fares are subject to terms and conditions and shall be purchased in advance at least seven days prior to the departure date. Booking period is from now until March 31 – for travel from April 17 to May 2.
“With a one-week school holiday, we are anticipating a better demand from both the ‘balik kampung’ Muslim exodus as well as non-Muslim holiday-makers.”
Batik Air has a fleet of 9 ATR72-600s and 24 Boeing 737NG/MAXs, operating 750 flights weekly across a continuously growing network of about 40 destinations in the region.
This airline codeshares with Turkish Airline and Batik Air Indonesia, as well as has an interlining partnership with Xiamen Air, All Nippon Airways, Turkish Airline, Qatar Airways, Etihad Airway, Oman Air, EVA Air, Royal Jordanian, Air Mauritius, Pakistan Airline, Emirates & Ethiopian.
