We have recently received feedback that some bottles of Ribena® Blackcurrant Fruit Cordial in 600ml, 1 litre and 2 litre bottles (“Ribena Blackcurrant Fruit Cordial Bottles”) have changed in appearance and taste prior to their expiry dates.
In response to this feedback, we are conducting an investigation along the production and distribution chain of Ribena Blackcurrant Fruit Cordial Bottles to determine the root cause.
Preliminary findings indicate that a small percentage of Ribena Blackcurrant Fruit Cordial Bottles in the affected batches with expiry dates from 17 Aug 2021 to 16 Oct 2021 are impacted.
Consumer well-being is our number one priority. Pending the outcome of our investigation, as a precautionary measure, we have made a proactive decision to conduct a voluntary withdrawal of Ribena Blackcurrant Fruit Cordial Bottles with expiry dates from 17 Aug 2021 to 16 Oct 2021.
Although not every bottle in the affected batches is impacted, consumers are advised not to drink the product if it appears or tastes unusual.
