KUALA LUMPUR, 18 June 2017:
The ‘Nature Thru The Lens’ nature photography exhibition was held in conjunction with World Environment Day 2017 – with the theme: “Connecting People to Nature”.
It was organised by the Malaysian Nature Society, Selangor Branch Photogroup. It was held at the White Box, Publika Shoping Gallery, Kuala Lumpur.
The exhibition was intended to give the public an opportunity to appreciate the beauty in Nature and in doing so, raise awareness on the importance of the environment, and subsequently, why its conservation is crucial.
The exhibition featured 74 high quality 24” x 16” photographic prints from 24 nature photographers who are members of the Malaysian Nature Society. These sponsored photographic prints were printed on Fine Art Achiever paper and pigment ink with the latest imaging technology from a leading printer company.
Talks on Nature, Herpertofauna and Underwater photography were held during the exhibition.
The Photographic prints were for sale, ranging from RM1,500.00 to RM3,500.00 – and part of the proceeds would go towards the Malaysian Nature Society, nature conservation education and public awareness programmes.
A total of 31 editions of photographs were sold, which is a very good response from the public, as well as family and friends. All the participating photographers would like to thank visitors and supporters for taking time out from their busy schedules to visit the exhibition.
