Mid-priced Jabra Elite 5 earbuds launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, 13 Sept 2022:

Danish audio devices firm Jabra has launched its mid-priced Jabra Elite 5 earbuds in Malaysia today as part of its blitz around the region.

Priced at RM699 for the wireless pair, the earbuds feature the same 6-microphone setup offered in its premium range plus hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) – providing an affordable alternative for users who have come to appreciate this firm’s products.

The hybrid ANC, powered by the Qualcomm QCC3050 Bluetooth chipset, incorporates two feedback microphones within the earpiece and two feedforward microphones on the exterior, explained Agnes Koh, regional product marketing manager for Asia Pacific.

“The ANC performance is therefore less sensitive to how you position the buds in the ear and it ensures a more reliable noise cancellation across a wider range of frequencies.

“This all-rounder is perfect for those who want to immerse themselves in music, are socially oriented and virtually connected.”

She said that Jabra had tested this device prototype with over 10,000 pairs of ears to ensure the final design provides all-day wearing comfort – which is complemented by seven hours usage with ANC on (or 28 hours with the charging case).

Meant to seamlessly cater to both work and play, the sound from 6mm speakers can be further enhanced via the accompanying smartphone app equalizer.

Being IP55-rated for durability against dust and water, these earbuds can also withstand short exposure to rain or sweating in the gym.

For work purposes, the earbuds can be linked to two devices simultaneously via Bluetooth Multipoint connectivity and easy pairing with Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair, Access Alexa or Google Assistant.
