Squash title drought ends for Nafiizwan

WINNIPEG, 20 March 2018;

Two-time national champion Mohd Nafiizwan Adnan finally ended his title drought after emerging victorious at the Manitoba Open Squash Tournament in Winnipeg, Canada on Sunday.

Mohd Nafiizwan – who finished as runner-up at the recent Montreal Open – pulled off a surprise after edging top seed Campbell Grayson of New Zealand, winning 11-6, 7-11, 11-6 and 11-4 in the match held at Winnipeg Squash Racquet Club, according to the tournament website www.squashmb.org.

It was Mohd Nafiizwan’s second international title after winning the HKFC International Squash Tournament in 2016.

The victory was certainly a major boost for Mohd Nafiizwan who will spearhead the country’s challenge in the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in Australia, next month.
