IPOH, 11 Feb 2019:
The city of Ipoh will be the site of a pioneer project for an Open Sports Day for the disabled organised by Halcyon Agri Malaysia based in Chemor here.
The programme, expected to take place in August, would also be co-sponsored by the state government and the Bali Sport Foundation Asia.
It is aimed at highlighting the disabled’s ability to participate in various sports and support the needs of these people in sports development.
Halcyon Agri deputy managing-director Wang Gee Hock said that 80 disabled athletes had registered to take part in six events – wheelchair rugby, wheelchair basketball, boccia, field bowling, badminton and football.
