JOHOR BAHRU, 2 March 2018:
Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) is looking at the possibility of taking over the management of several small stadiums nationwide as a long-term measure to overcome the problems of sharing stadiums faced by several football teams.
FMLLP chief executive officer Kevin Ramalingam said taking the management of stadiums would enable FMLLP to upgrade the stadiums as homeground stadiums in future.
“The plan is still in the early stage and FMLLP needs to obtain the approval of the board of directors before making the investment and taking the stadium management.
“If we allow the present situation to continue without taking any initiatives, I am afraid the issue will protract to the next 10 to 12 years.”
