KUALA LUMPUR, 29 Nov 2018:
The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) status committee have ordered three clubs to settle their players and officials’ salary arrears amounting to RM161,600 within 30 days.
The three are Marcerra United, Terengganu City FC (TCFC) and Hanelang FC.
Committee chairman, Mohd Joehari Ayub said Marcerra United would have to pay RM30,600 in salary arrears and contract compensation to club official Khairul Nizam Mohd Taib.
The committee, which met for the eighth time for the 2017-2021 term last Thursday, also decided TCFC must pay their three players – Mohd Nasyrul Naim Fauzi (RM13,800), Muhammad Munawwar Shavukath Ali (RM19,800) and Ros Mohd Muharam Wahab (RM11,400).
FAM further ordered Hulu Terengganu District Football Association (Hanelang FC) to pay Mohamad Aizat Asli and Mohamad Hasrolsyawal Hamid RM40,000 each and Muhammad Munawwar Shavukath Ali, RM6,000.
“If these teams fail to pay the stipulated amounts within the 30-day period, whatever competition entry deposits, cash prizes or any of their money remaining with FAM will be used to pay the complainants directly.
“The matter will be brought to the FAM Disciplinary Committee under Article 67 of the FAM Disciplinary Code for consideration and final decision if the financial resources mentioned are still inadequate,” he said in a statement yesterday.
