Passengers can lodge complaints against errant bus driver via mobile app

KUALA LUMPUR, 24 Nov 2017: 

The Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) is encouraging bus passengers to report any violation involving the bus operators and drivers via the ‘MeterOn’ mobile application.

Chief operating officer Qamar Wan Noor said passengers of bus companies, which had been registered under the commission, could use the application to lodge complaints directly to SPAD.

“The bus passengers can download the ‘MeterOn’ application on iOS and Adroid smartphones to enable them to check the status of bus express companies or to report any offence.

“The commission will not hesitate to take legal action against bus operators found to be negligent in operations management.”

Previously, Qamar said the use of the application – introduced in April 2015 – was only limited to taxi passengers.
