KERTIH, 12 Oct 2017:
Petronas has confirmed a fire occurred at a condensate tank at the Kertih refinery operated by Petronas Penapisan (Terengganu) Sdn Bhd at approximately 8pm yesterday.
The refinery’s Emergency Response Team was immediately activated and with the assistance of the Kertih Fire Department the fire was extinguished at about 10pm.
The incident has caused no injury to any personnel and the incident posed no risk to the surrounding community.
Petronas Penapisan Terengganu is cooperating with the relevant authorities to ascertain the cause of the incident.
