KUALA LUMPUR, 5 Sept 2017:
A Bangladeshi worker was injured in a molotov cocktail attack on a nightclub in Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya yesterday.
In the 4.15pm incident, one of two petrol bombs – which were hurled at a counter in front of the nightclub – exploded.
Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din said the attack injured a Bangladeshi worker in his 30s.
The victim, who sustained burns on the hands and head, was warded at the Sungai Buloh Hospital, he added.
Speaking at the scene of the attack, he said – based on closed-circuit television recording at the premises – two people were believed to have been behind the attack.
“The suspects who came in a black Audi, fled after lobbing the two molotov cocktails at the premises.”
Mohd Zaini said initial investigations revealed the attack could have been due to business rivalry.
