MoH: Gerik cop did NOT die of 2nd Covid-19 vaccine dose

PUTRAJAYA, 4 April 2021:

The Ministry of Health (MoH) today denied a Malaysian policeman had died after receiving the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine.

In a post on its official Facebook page, citing Perak police chief Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid, MoH denied corporal Rakmin Yusoff, 58, stationed at the Gerik district police station had dies due to complications for the Covid-19 vaccination.

Mior Faridalathrash said in a statement this cop is actually receiving treatment at Taiping hospital for clogged heart arteries. The cop was warded Gerik hospital after suffering a heart attack episode, then transferred to Taiping.

“The policeman is currently in stable condition and fully conscious, he would most probably be referred to the National Heart Institute in due course.”

Slamming the post by Facebook account holder ‘Junaidah June’ on the supposed cop’s death, he warned the public not to spread this fake news.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba had earlier tweeted that 279,023 Malaysian frontliners had so far completed the dual dosage Covid-19 vaccinations while 508,481 had received the first dose.
