PLUS Malaysia Bhd expects all demolition works of the Batu Tiga and Sungai Rasau toll plaza building structures to be completed by the end of March.
Managing director Datuk Azman Ismail said: “We are currently at the final stage of awarding the tender to the contractors to undertake the demolition works of both Batu Tiga and Sungai Rasau toll plazas.
“Upon appointment, the contractors will begin structural removal and demolition works after Chinese New Year. Based on our schedule, all demolition works are expected to be completed by the end of March.”
As the demolition works will be carried out over live traffic, it needs to be done in stages to ensure safety to road users is not compromised at any time.
Azman said removal works of toll equipment, signages and other assets will be done earlier – before any structural demolition works can be carried out.
As such, PLUS advices highway users to slow down and drive carefully when approaching both Batu Tiga and Sungai Rasau Toll Plazas.
