KL Gateway Mall in Bangsar South celebrated its first ever prosperity toss event today with 22 underprivileged children and their caregivers from the Yayasan Sunbeams Home.
The highlight of the Chinese New Year celebrations, the Prosperity Toss gathering together with senior management from Suez Capital Sdn Bhd, was the mall’s way of giving back to the community; an initiative the mall does every festive occasion.
Guests were entertained by performances from the talented Kwong Ngai Lion Dance troupe which performed the 24 seasons drum recital, and the award-winning Hong Teck Lion Dance troupe that performed the acrobatic lion dance.
The children also partook of other traditional activities like the rainbow calligraphy demo and dragon mask painting kids workshop which were carried out in the main atrium. Of course, no Chinese New Year would be complete with the God of Prosperity appearance for a prosperous year ahead, and angpow and goodie bag giveaways.
In conjunction with the Spring Blossoms Of Prosperity celebrations at the mall, catch the Chinese New Year performances and activities such as 5 Musician’s ensemble, 5 happy faces walkabout, Chinese knotting demo and face changing performances until the 25th of February.
Shoppers who spend RM188 will get an exclusive 12 zodiacs lucky charm; while those who spend RM500 mallwide with a maximum of 3 receipts in the same day stand a chance to win a Mini Cooper 5 door in the Mini Cooper grand lucky draw session which will be held on 10 March 2018.
