Petronas continues to promote ‘alert driver’ campaign for CNY ‘balik kampung’

KUALA LUMPUR, 8 Feb 2018:

Petronas Dagangan Bhd has once more launched its festive Coffee Break campaign to encourage drivers on highways to remain alert – as part of its commitment to advocate road safety culture amongst motorists who will be travelling during the upcoming festive season.

The campaign will run over two periods – Feb 14 to 15 and from Feb 18 to 19 – at 141 Petronas stations nationwide, offering motorists complimentary hot coffee and snacks, so they get to refresh and relax before continuing on their journey.

In addition, there will also be a road safety advocacy programme by one of the campaign’s partners, the Road Safety Department (JKJR).

Petronas Dagangan managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Ibrahimnuddin Mohd Yunos said: “Road safety is one of our highest priorities and we want to send this message to as many motorists as possible.

To reinforce the safety message during the campaign period, selected Petronas stations will also offer complimentary health checks by St John’s Ambulance Malaysia (SJAM). For the 25th year running, Petronas Dagangan remains committed as the fuel sponsor for 50 of SJAM’S ambulances, stationed along highways to provide emergency assistance to motorists travelling during the festive period.

The Coffee Break campaign is supported by partners – including Nestle products Sdn Bhd, Delfi Marketing Sdn Bhd and Suntory Beverage and Food Malaysia Sdn Bhd. New additions to the campaign this year include offerings by Shopee Mobile Malaysia Sdn Bhd and Dunkin’ Donuts.

Also during this period, Mesra Kad members stand to enjoy triple loyalty points when they swipe with their Mesra card which they can exchange for fuel and other Petronas products. There are 9,872 prizes to be won with the grand prize being a RM8,888 worth of free petrol.
