PETALING JAYA, 21 Oct 2017:
The first Malaysian music video – featuring K-Pop concept with electronic dance – has chalked up over 1.5 million views on YouTube since its debut on July 19 this year.
Released by Triangle of Creativity (TOC) Production, Pau Man depicts the story of a ‘pau’ (steamed buns) man selling his produce from a food truck and living his dream that everyone loves his ‘pau’.
The video was shot at Mega Star Arena at Jalan Kuchai Lama in Kuala Lumpur, the music video features Malaysian actor James Wong, Malaysian rapper Point Blanc, super model Amber Chia, singers Winnie K and Angeline Loo.
Others include guest actor and Asia best model Wilson Tan, DJ Alexis Grace, female rapper and actress Ruby Yap, artist Ex’s Sanjna & Robyna, Miss Petite Malaysia 2015 Audrey Lee and K-Pop dancer Nikki Lim.
“It is time for M-Pop, not K-Pop!” exclaimed TOC production director Excella Chong, who noted how creativity turned the familiar Malaysian neighbourhood catchy slogan “char siew pau, dai pao, loh
mai gai, dim sum, dao jeong sui” of the ‘pau man’ into a hit song.
“Our mission is to build a reputation among local productions as the most creative, reliable, and friendliest producer around.”
