KUALA LUMPUR, 19 Feb 2020:
In addition to Shell Malaysia’s recent initiative in waiving the Touch ‘n Go (TnG) top-up fee at all stations along the North-South Expressway last month, the fuel company has extended this 50 sen waiver to all stations along the PLUS Expressways (NKVE and ELITE) and the East-Coast Expressways (ECE).
In a statement, Shell Malaysia said this expansion also includes 25 other Shell stations at various locations nationwide. Moving forward, the firm said motorists can enjoy the zero-top-up fee at the expressways and other Shell stations.
“Shell understands the challenge Malaysians face against the rising cost of living,” said Shairan Huzani Husain, Managing Director of Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd and Shell Timur Sdn Bhd.
“We know it can be difficult to save when there are inclining necessary expenses like food, transportation, utilities and education, which form a huge part of one’s expenditure.”
He noted Shell Malaysia is always looking at ways and means to reward its customers.
“Throughout 2019, Shell launched several campaigns that gave away amazing prizes from cars to loyalty points. Back in September, Shell gave away 3 BMW X3 xDrive30i Luxury through WIN 3 BMW X3 campaign.
“The excitement continued when Shell gave 10x BonusLink points collection with each one (1) litre of fuels purchased and offered 50% rebate for BonusLink points redeemed on Dec 12; amongst the many initiatives last year.
‘Nak Ekstra RM20,000?’ is the latest campaign which recently concluded on Feb 9.
“These initiatives represent our commitment towards Malaysians and their journeys on and off the road. We at Shell are equally passionate for creating life-enriching opportunities for Malaysians, just as we are about providing high-quality fuels and products that help our customers get more out of their journeys.”
Separately, Touch ‘n Go eWallet has entered into a partnership with Express Rail Link (ERL) to provide a seamless, safe and convenient cashless payment solution for all Malaysians who are heading to and from KLIA/KLIA2.
To cement the partnership, Touch ‘n Go eWallet is offering a 15% discount on selected KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit adult and child tickets.
The offer is also applicable to certain concession fares on KLIA Transit, specifically for Malaysia senior citizens, students with Kad Diskaun Siswa 1Malaysia (KADS1M), as well as differently-abled passengers with OKU cards issued by the Department of Social Welfare Malaysia.
In a statement, TNG Digital Sdn Bhd said the promotion is applicable only for purchases at the counter and runs until June 30.
