KUALA LUMPUR, 3 Dec 2019:
The latest range of synthetic engine oils and specialty lubricant products from Petron Malaysia have been independently tested and found to markedly boost vehicle performances, said senior technical service advisor Mohd Pauzi Mohd Din during a briefing at today’s launch.
Developed in Philippines, this new Petron Blaze Racing HTP range uses polyalphaolefin (PAO) as the base oil and specially blended additives make up around 20% of the overall content, he explained.
“This balanced blending means you can safely continue using your vehicle even if you miss recommended service appointments, but it is still prudent to follow the manufacturer’s specifications to get the best performance.”
With internationally-recognised independent tests certifying the latest Petron lubricants retain performance till around 15,000km of driving, Mohd Pauzi said this was made possible using the PAO base oil – as its constituent molecules are consistent, unlike mineral oils.
“Unlike the refining process to produce mineral oils, PAO is constituted from ethylene gas and this creates consistently shaped molecules which result in reduced oxidation rates. Together with the balanced additives blend, the Petron Blaze Racing HTP range gives much improved performance for your vehicle.”
Acknowledging that many car and motorbike owners tend to overlook the importance of having the right lubricants, especially when getting their vehicles serviced at non-manufacturer workshops – if at all – he said any savings now can have potential costly breakdowns later.
“That’s why anyone who wants the best performance from their vehicles will always choose synthetic lubricants, preferably with the latest balanced additives blend like ours.”
The Petron Blaze Racing HTP products are available at selected Petron service stations, authorised distributors and its online store at Shopee.
