Hyundai recalls Santa Fe as steering wheel can come off

DETROIT, 25 Feb 2018:

Hyundai yesterday announced it is recalling some of its Santa Fe vehicles sold in the US as these are at risk of the steering wheel breaking away from the steering column.

Roughly 43,900 vehicles of the the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport models are included in Hyundai’s recall.

Separately, Toyota recalled about 64,900 Tundras and Sequoias trucks and SUVs – saying these vehicles are in danger for having their electronic dependability control frameworks closing down suddenly.

Both car makers said they will notify impacted owners of the recalled vehicles, and if necessary, will repair the vehicles at no cost.
