NUSAJAYA, 26 Sept 2017:
And just like that, Legoland Malaysia Resort turns five! To celebrate its 5th Brick-versary, there are loads of awesome activities, offers and prizes for lucky visitors every day till month-end.
Guests stand a chance to win an all-expense trip to Legoland Japan Resort, collect scratch-and-win goodie coupons, and participate in fan favourite limited edition DUPLO bricks and jumbo minifigure trade activities happening at the park’s trading huts.
Since its opening in September 2012, the first Legoland theme park in Asia has grown tremendously, welcoming the Legoland Water Park and Hotel shortly after. This November it is set to launch the super exciting VR Coaster ride designed for children, followed by SeaLife in 2018.
Covering 50 full sized football pitches, it contains 15,000 Lego models made from over 60 million Lego bricks. There are seven themed areas, thrilling rides, workshops, restaurants and retail stores (including The Big Shop, Asia’s largest Lego shop).
Said Mr Kurt Stocks, Legoland Malaysia Resort General Manager, “Because our guests never stop exploring, we shall never stop building to ensure that every visit will be a new and refreshing experience.
“During our birthday this year, we want to thank our fans and guests for joining us on this incredible journey by rewarding them with the opportunity to rediscover the park and be immersed in experiences tailored especially for them.”
Some of the recent additions include the first indoor Lego Star Wars Miniland that features more than 2000 Lego models built on a 1:20 scale depicting scenes from the six Star Wars films and The Clone Wars animated series.
Also new is Ninjago The Ride, a 4D interactive ride that allows you to fight like one of your true Ninja heroes – Cole, Kai, Jay, Nya or Zane – all trained under the watchful eye of Master Wu. Harness the power of four elements – fire, ice, lightning and earth – and use them to defeat the Great Devourer whilst earning yourself Ninja status! High-tech sensors enable guests to shoot fire, send ice soaring, throw lightning bolts and move shockwaves with hand gestures.
The virtual projectiles can be thrown with incredible accuracy, so master the technique, and it’ll be an exciting race to see who comes up with the highest individual score at the end of your quest!
And if you haven’t got enough of the Ninjago experience, there’s always the Ninjago themed rooms at the Legoland hotel where you can continue the fantasy, and imaginative family fun. Open your room door and step into a cave full of ‘weapons’ from ninja throwing stars to dragon eggs and Zane’s titanium falcon. Here you will eat, sleep and train like a true Ninja.
Or, opt to play pirates instead, embark on a princely adventure or command a kingdom as a knight. All 258 rooms promise guests an experience they will not forget, no matter what your fantasy.
Next door, the Legoland Water Park has more than 20 unique and interactive rides the kids will simply love. Imaginations run wild along the build-a-raft lazy river, where they can customize their own raft made of soft Lego bricks. Water cannons, giant buckets and super soakers complete the wet fun here.
Best of all, there are plenty of cosy, comfortable private cabanas for hire – the perfect retreat if the weather gets too hot; refreshing, complimentary towels, drinks and DUPLO bricks for the little ones are provided. The water park can be enjoyed separately, or in combination with the theme park.
