PETALING JAYA, 12 April 2018:
In less than a month, May 4th may be ‘Star Wars’ day – but the ‘force’ may just be with you for an entire month at Legoland Malaysia.
Dubbed the Lego Star Wars Days (between April 21 and May 13), there will be plenty to celebrate – as Jedis, Siths, clones, light sabres, phantom menaces and all manner of things to do with the ‘Empire’ come to Legoland Malaysia Resort.
Witness the highly anticipated – and largest – Imperial March in the region (by the Rebel and 501st Legions), take part in Asia’s inaugural and largest ever Lego Star Wars Speed Build Challenge, and enjoy other exciting inter-galactic activities.
For the speed build challenge, all you have to do is join forces as a family (between two and four people), and build the X-Wing Starfighter.
The quickest daily builders will earn themselves a not-too-shabby BB-8 prize worth RM499; while the reward for the fastest builders in the galaxy (over the three week period) is a limited edition Lego Star Wars Millennium Falcon set worth RM3,499 – autographed by the original designer Hans Burkhard Schlomer.
The imperial March – an annual tradition of Legoland Malaysia Resort – will see the gathering of 100 costumed fan groups from both the Dark and Light sides as they march down the park streets. But take note, you can only catch this awesome parade on April 28 and 29.
There are also 12 brand new Lego Star Wars merchandise featuring epic scenes from the latest Star Wars movies which will go on sale at the Legoland resort store, and selected retail stores in Southeast Asia from April 20.
There is the Darth Maul figurine (RM159.90) with a double bladed lightsabre and arm swinging battle function, the Range Trooper figurine (RM159.90) in furry clothing and chunky armour and spring-loaded shooter weapon and the Han Solo figurine (RM159.90) with large spring loaded shooter weapon and detachable blaster pistol.
Yoda’s Hut (RM159.90) features a ‘vine’ to swing from and a detailed interior, two mini figures and R2-D2. The Jedi and Clone Troopers Battle Pack (RM79.90) comes with stud shooters and four mini figures.
Don’t forget to visit the Lego Star Wars Miniland, made up of 1.5 million Lego bricks that depict iconic movie scenes from six Star Wars blockbusters; and claim your Star Wars commemorative Duplo brick by taking part in the scavenger hunt.
And do take note: if your child is between three and 11 years of age, dress them up in full Star Wars costume, and they will get free entrance to the park!
