KUALA LUMPUR, 5 June 2018:
The payout of the 2018 Aidilfitri aid of RM400 for federal civil servants of Grade 41 and below, as well as RM200 for pensioners, will be done today.
A Public Service Department’s (PSD) circular issued yesterday stated the special aid would be given to all civil servants involved on condition they were still in service as at June 5 and had been in service for at least 30 days between Jan 1 and June 5.
“Of the total amount, RM200 will be paid by the PSD, while the remaining RM200 will be paid by their respective departments.”
The circular also stated civil servants who faced disciplinary action, sacked and resigned between Jan 1 and June 5 were not qualified for the aid.
Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad had on May 30 announced the special Aidilfitri aid for civil servants of Grade 41 and below and government pensioners.
