KUALA LUMPUR, 25 March 2019:
The government of Saudi Arabia is offering full scholarships to 300 Malaysian students to continue their studies in various fields – with the exception of medicine – at universities in its country.
The Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission (SACM) said in a statement the offer is based on the strong bilateral relations between the two countries and as a show of gratitude towards the people of Malaysia.
“The scholarship is available for male and female students who wish to undergo their studies at bachelors, masters or PhD level.
“Scholarship recipients will also be given benefits such as monthly allowances, housing allowances, medical insurance and flight tickets,” it said.
The statement added that those who are eligible for the scholarships at diploma and bachelor-level studies must be aged between 17 and 24 years; between 24 and 30 years old for masters degree courses, and between 30 to 35 years old for PhD studies.
“Female students must be accompanied by a guardian (Mahram) with a valid sponsorship or permit.
“Those who are interested to apply for the scholarship can visit the official website of SACM at http://my.moe.gov.sa/ or register directly at the SACM office in Kuala Lumpur,” said the statement.
