More partners offer unifi Travel Pass

KUALA LUMPUR, 14 Feb 2020:

Travel booking portal Klook, together with mobile payment and savings platform Fave have begun to the latest unifi Travel Pass – which offers mobile data and telephony services for visitors to Malaysia.

This mobile connectivity solution comes with two validity period options: 7 Days Travel Pass at RM30 and 15 Days Travel Pass at RM60.

Both packages offer unlimited high-speed data (4G LTE or 3G), unlimited access to more than 8,000 WiFi hotspots nationwide via [email protected] and unlimited entertainment throughout their stay via the [email protected] app which offers digital streams of LIVE and on demand channels from local as well as international channels.

The SIM also comes preloaded with RM5 worth of airtime for users to make outgoing calls at 20 sen per minute or send text messages at 10 sen per SMS.

This collaboration is in line with the strategic telecommunication partnership for the Visit Malaysia 2020 campaign signed by Telekom Malaysia Bhd with Tourism Malaysia.

Visitors can purchase online the unifi Travel Pass and pick-up their prepaid SIM at Tourism Malaysia’s Tourism Information Counters (TICs) located at all international airports in Malaysia – KL International Airport (KLIA and klia2), Langkawi International Airport, Penang International Airport, Kota Kinabalu International Airport, and Kuching International Airport.

KL Tower is another strategic collection point location for the unifi Travel Pass, especially for tourists who might have missed the opportunity to collect their prepaid SIM at the airport.

Telekom Malaysia commercial marketing head Lai Shu Wei said unifi is working very closely with Tourism Malaysia to include more iconic Malaysian landmarks as collection points.

“Internet connectivity is a powerful ally for the travel industry. Travellers today not only rely on their smartphones to explore and navigate to attractions or find and book services, but also to share their travel experiences with their families and loved ones at home.

“By allowing them unencumbered, high-quality access to the internet, we are enabling seamless connectivity for foreign tourists to market Malaysia as a top destination for travel.”

Further, the unifi Travel Pass that can be collected at Malaysia Healthcare Concierge and Lounge located at all major airports. Selected hospital partners will also have to option to offer unifi Travel Pass to their customers.
