KUALA LUMPUR, 7 Aug 2022:
The Metro Optical Group (MOG), which is already offering free eye-checks at its 90 outlets across Peninsular Malaysia, has added another new service of digitalised eyewear fitting – to help better ensure optimal comfort for the usage of new spectacles.
This new enhancement being rolled out nationwide is available now at its Pavilion Bukit Jalil outlet – with an extra ground promotion till Aug 14 – as part of the MOG ‘6-in-1 Vision Experience’ campaign.
Metro Eyewear Holdings Sdn Bhd chairman and founder Datuk Frankie Ng explained this campaign aims to raise awareness of eye health by delivering a free consultation – that is typically available at high cost only at specialist eye hospitals and clinics.
With this consultation, participants will get in-depth eye checks that can help detect various conditions in the early stages – like cataracts, glaucoma and more. In so doing, MOG aims to alert these people of the need to get proper medical care to protect and maintain their vision.
“Most of the time, people tend to neglect the need to check their eye health annually, because prevention is better before the situation goes beyond any possible cure,” explained Ng.
“Our focus is never about selling products, but to constantly raise awareness … that will certainly benefit Malaysians’ eye and vision health in the long run.”
In line with this approach, she said MOG will be supporting national schools across the peninsula in coming months to help identify those who need attention the most to improve or even retain their vision.
“We stand by the three pillars of prevention, protection and enhancement to ensure vision needs are fulfilled and optimised.”
Those interested in this free consultation at all MOG outlets can register at the chain’s website www.mog.com.my or via its Facebook or Instagram channels.
