The central bank said 10,000 pieces will be produced in exclusive packaging for UKM to sell to its students and alumni.

“These commemorative coins are also available in a set of 2, comprising one coloured silver proof and one Nordic gold proof coins. This set will be sold at RM308 per set with 1,000 sets available.”

To provide a fair opportunity for members of the public to buy the limited edition coins, BNM has set a purchase limit and will initiate balloting in the event of oversubscription.

It will make a further announcement on Sept 25 as regards ordering, payment and delivery.
