The Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) has opened the application for a Temporary Operator Licence (LPS) to enable the use of public service vehicles as goods or e-hailing vehicles starting today.

APAD in a statement said the move was taken to help public service vehicle operators generate additional income when facing the impact of Covid-19 pandemic.

It is also in line with the provisions under Section 44 and Section 45 of the Temporary Measures to Reducing the Impact of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) Act 2020 (Act 829) which allows temporary change of use of public service vehicle or tourist vehicle to goods vehicle and vice versa.
