Guardian is embarking on a nationwide search for four women who will become ‘The Face of Healthy Beauty’ brand ambassadors for Guardian Malaysia.
Guardian Health And Beauty Sdn Bhd Southeast Asia CEO Soren Lauridsen said at yesterday’s launch: “The search for The Face of Healthy Beauty is not a beauty contest. We are deliberately focusing on a healthy beauty, instead of the more common glamorous beauty.
“In our books, the healthy beauty is someone who lives life to the fullest in a healthy way, and has a distinctive style and pleasant personality. She is someone with a positive attitude, prioritises her health and looks after her physical beauty too.
“As the healthy beauty concept is at the core of Guardian’s brand philosophy, the concept was borne from a consumer insight that good health is the foundation of true beauty.”
This search is open to all Malaysian females aged 18 and above. entries can be submitted online at https://theface.guardian.com.my
In addition, participants must be able to speak either English and Bahasa Malaysia or English and Mandarin.
All participants have to do is upload a 30-second video of themselves indicating why they want to become the Guardian brand ambassador, a full length photo and a passport photo between May 20 and June 12.
A hundred participants will be shortlisted to attend the semi final rounds will take place in JB, the Klang Valley, Penang and Sabah. The grand finals will be held in Shah Alam on July 27.
Attractive prizes await the four winners including: RM10,000 cash, RM10,000 worth of Guardian vouchers and a RM5,000 donation for their chosen charity. In addition, each winner will sign a one-year contract as Guardian Brand Ambassador and get featured on the cover of Guardian catalogues and various collaterals.
Southeast Asia marketing director D.Y. Cho said as this is the inaugural campaign, the company aims to start with women first – but has plans to run this annually. “As we grow and expand the campaign, we may widen the scope to include men as well.”
In addition to the four winners, there will be eight category winners to be awarded by the sponsors, including: Most healthy (Blackmores), Most elegant (Bio-Essence), Most youthful (Garnier), Most expressive eyes (L’Oreal), Most passionate (Maybelline) , Most confident (Nivea) , Most cheerful (Safi) and Most charming (TRESemme).
Not to be left out, there will be something for the customer as well. Customer voting will be open from July 8 till July 24 on the microsite. Do vote for your favourite contestant, because your votes will count for 50% of the total scores on Grand Final night.
You may earn your votes by shopping at Guardian, so the more you purchase, the more chances you get to vote. There will be a draw on the big night, and if you are the chosen voter, you stand to win RM500 worth of Guardian vouchers!
Additionally, there is the scan and won contest running from June 10 till July 7, whereby customers can scan the QR codes at Guardian stores and answer four questions related to healthy beauty. The instant reward is a RM5 voucher for your next purchase.
