You can add more cameras to Cyber-RT using your own account and this can be a mix of CCTV (IP camera), Android or iOS devices.
The process is the same as with the first camera, but you need to take one extra step in Stage 1 – changing the port number. Each camera must have its unique port number.

CCTV

  • As there are many brands of CCTV cameras available, each with individual setup processes, you will need to check your device documentation or manual how to change the port number.
  • You may want to consult your supplier or someone with tech knowledge (or at worst, do a Google search) on how to change the port number for the second, third or more cameras. Ideally, you should change your extra camera port numbers to between 9031 and 9039.
  • Once you’ve applied the new port number(s) for the second, third and more cameras, please proceed to the port forwarding instructions below.

Android device

  • To change port number on the IP Webcam app for your second device, first look for the settings link at the top right – then tap on “Cheats”

  • Type “set(Port,9031)” – don’t use the quotation (“) marks, then tap on “OK”. For more cameras, the port number will be 9032, 9033, etc.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the IP Webcam app and click on “Start server” to start the camera display. At the bottom, the IP address will show the new port number (“9031”).
  • If the post number hasn’t changed, repeat the steps above. At worst, uninstall & reinstall the IP Webcam app again on your second, third or subsequent device and follow the above instructions to change the port number.
  • Once you’ve applied the new port number(s) for the second, third and more cameras, please proceed to the port forwarding instructions below.

iOS device

  • How to change your port number for iPCamera has already been outlined in the initial instructions. Just remember you should change your extra camera port numbers to between 9031 and 9039.
  • Once you’ve applied the new port number(s) for the second, third and more cameras, please proceed to the port forwarding instructions below.

Port forwarding for 2nd or more cameras

  • You’ll need to add a new port forwarding setting for each camera you add. The maximum number of cameras you can add to Cyber-RT depends on how many port forwarding settings allowed by your router.

  • The process is similar to how you did port forwarding for the first camera in Stage 2 of the instructions. Simply make sure you’re using the new port number (9031 – 9039), then click on “Apply” and “Save” where appropriate for the router you are using.
  • Once this port forwarding setting process is completed for all the extra cameras you’re adding, proceed to Stage 3 of the instructions to register these additional cameras into Cyber-RT.
